worlds best homemade pizza
Here's my personal worlds best and probably easiest pizza recipe..
Dough ingredients
---------------------
Three cups flour (white or wheat)
One cup warm water or just 1/3 the ratio of flour
One standard dry yeast package
One tablespoon sugar
Two tablespoon oil (or maybe a bit more)
---------------------
Put flour in mixing bowl
Get warm cup of water
premix yeast in warm cup of water
add water to flour
add the sugar
add a bit of oil in the bowl and some on your hands to prevent
sticking
------------
Have fun getting your hands dirty.. (unless you have a mixer and
that's just cheating) So ask grandma or someone who learned to
bake before electric mixers came out.. (I tried to find a youtube
video, but all the videos I could find either talked too much or
didn't meet QA.. Yes.. I'm talking about that guy who made the
hand-tossed with all the little tears in it.. baaaah..</rant>
------------
So once you have your little ball of dough.. cover in a dark
place for about 10-15 minutes to let it rise.. Need again to work
out any air bubbles and flatten to desired crust height. (It'll
rise again so be careful or you'll make a cake :P )
put in/on pizza pan.. (those pizza stones do work really well.)
Add sauce..
Add cheese...
Note: make sure the centre is actually light on
toppings/sauce/cheese to avoid it being difficult to cut/hold..
or you'll end up with soup in the middle..
--------------
Place in preheated hot oven 450F for 10-15 minutes..
I'm leaving this open for comments, but it's moderated.. put
something smart.. I know there's like 300 ways to make a pizza..
ps.. I know this has nothing to do with OpenSolaris, Java..
programming or anything else techie, but my friends keep asking
for this :P and yes.. buy me a plane ticket and I'll cook you
dinner ;)
